‘궁극의 리스트’는 각종 미디어, 개인, 단체에 의해 공식적, 혹은 비공식적으로 발표된 음악/관련 문화 리스트를 ‘리드머’의 시선으로 다뤄보는 페이지 입니다. 정답이 없기 때문에 이런 리스트를 보는 것은 언제나 흥미롭거든요.

영국의 음악전문지 Q 매거진이 발표한 Q매거진 라이프타임 최고의 앨범 250장의 리스트입니다. 상위권은 대부분 라디오헤드(Radiohead), U2, 뮤즈(Muse)같은 영국밴드가 차지했습니다. 물론, 대단한 앨범들이긴 하지만, 리스트 전체에 걸쳐 흑인음악의 지분을 보면 이 잡지의 성격을 쉽게 파악할 수 있습니다. 어떤 매체든 그 색이 드러나는 것이 중요하니 흥미롭고 재미난 지점이라는 생각입니다. 리드머 필진들도 흑인음악 장르 전문이라는 점을 애써 내려놓지 않고, 전 장르의 앨범을 대상으로 최고의 앨범 리스트를 만들면 재미난 결과가 나올 것이란 생각이 드네요. 어쨌든 이 리스트에 선정된 흑인음악 앨범들은 그 작품의 수준을 유지하면서 대중적으로도 성공하여 록 밴드의 열혈 팬들에게도 인상적인 앨범이라 생각해볼 수 있겠습니다. 그래서 흑인음악 팬들에게는 조금은 뻔한 걸작들 위주이긴 하네요. 이번 궁극의 리스트도 과연 몇 장이나 들어보셨는지 확인해보며 체크해보시길!!
